I have a 2003 Blackbird I'm considering to sell. I guarantee it's one of the cleanest you will find. It's black with all original paint and has 27,xxx miles. Has 4-1 with Micron carbon fiber silencer, Corbin seat & factory seat, smoked windscreen & factory clear & Throttlemeister bar ends w/lock. Runs excellent!! Very well taken care of. No way sould you go with a VFR. The XX is so much a better bike. VTech is the worst.

There are not tons of XXs but look around. 30k miles is not much. Alot of people actually ride these bikes. Although a few times I've see low miles last year.

61000 miles on my 02 now, that I bought new. They motor finally loosened up this year!
2000=Titanium Gray, 2001=Glory Red, 2002=Accurate Silver Metallic, 2003=Metallic Black.
Stay away from V-TEC Interceptors.

Haven't been on here for a while and just caught your post--Any idea what a Black '99 XX with 3,165 mi. might be worth? Always inside, heated, perfect, never wet. Just don't ride enough and may consider selling. I am the orig owner and purchased new in '00. Located in Missouri.

Nice looking ride and so far a good price. You can do the mods and farkles youself. The engine milage is low and isn't even broken in yet. imo. Same year as mine, and I have 149,000 kms. Unfortunately you have to truck it home or have it delivered. I don't think you can ride it home, can you?? OK, you're in California so getting it should be no problem. Good luck, I was thinking, your bike was out there just waiting for you to find her. lol My closed friend also bought a Bird from California, totally modded in the best possible way. Same colour. Same milage. He's happier than a "pig in mud".

That Bird looks sweet, for the small fee of a flight you could go down and ride home. What a great way to introduce yourself to an amazing machine. Looks pretty nice, just get ready to make a few mods, suspension, seat, bar risers...That will get you started then you can do the exhaust, add hard bags, wind screen, braided lines... that will start to make her really nice and then...... well it never ends..... but it sure is fun..

Thats a nice looking bike in the ebay ad. I saw one last year that was mint with 3000 miles on it. It went for $5600 a few days after I saw it. When I was talking with them I had them under $5000 but decided that I really didn't want two of the same kind of bikes. I only mention this so you have a basis for what else might be out there if you look long enough.

Yeah, I got one a few weeks ago, sorry I didn't follow up. I flew to San Diego and rode it home about 500miles on seriously bald tires. I paid $5400 for an 02 light silver bird I've named "Nellie" after "The Whoa Nellie Deli" in Lee Vining, CA Tioga Gas Mart and Whoa Nellie Deli .
So I fly to San Diego on a whim, this guys picks me up at the airport and takes me back to his house where he's got a four cruisers, my bike and a cherry 95 ZX-11. He bought the XX from one of his cruiser buddies who was the original owner. There it sits with 13,4XX miles on it with the original tires. This is my 27th Honda (I'm 33 and only ever crashed one bike accept my 250 prod race bike) and I sold bikes for several years before going into solar power sales. I've seen a lot of worn tires and I'm telling you this thing has never been through a decent corner in it's life before I got it. It had big'ol chrome cruiser grips on it and was spotless. The tires were so cupped and flat spotted it was really awkward riding it home because it handled terrible. But I made it (cords showing in the back) and proceeded to make it mine. So far, I replaced the grips, swapped the tires for a 2ct front and road2 back, added a Throttlemeister and a set of OEM bags from david silver spares. I can't believe the value for the bags... Perfect color match with XX logos and OEM fit and finish for $824 shipped from the UK, arrived in 8 days and included the overly expensive honda bag liners. The bags are obviously made by GIVI for Honda. I found out the hard way though, that the US turn signals are bigger than the UK and rub against the bags, so I ordered a Clear Alternatives smoke LED tail light that showed up today. I still need to make a dash that will attach to the Heli bars for my iphone and autocom switches and wire up the autocom. Then I'll be ready to take Nellie to the deli. Anyone in CA or NV wanna meet up outside Yosemite in a couple months at the deli?

Sorry for the book, I'll post pics once the setup is finished!
