Continuous heavy rain mixed with fog, gusting cross
winds, wet leaves, and random road debris made
for a surreal and interesting riding experience. Except
for a Porsche 911, BMW, Mini-Cooper, and Mustang,
I was completely alone on the road. And the only bike.

so I was riding about as fast as your grandmother could jog through
those twisties. The wet asphalt wasn't so much the problem - but
all those damned wet leaves laying everywhere. Actually the Pilot
Roads are pretty good in the wet, but I've heard the Pilot Powers
are even better, and give about the same mileage.

The stock seat was sheer torture after about 200 miles, but typically
I can now do 400 mile sunday rides (just for fun) with no problem.
There is no way I could enjoy this bike as much as I do without the
Corbin seat. Sargent makes a good seat too.

You have better luck than I do at self portraits. Usually it's:
1. set up the camera
2. set the timer
3. run back into the picture
4. error happens (camera slids off it's perch OR walk up to camera thinking it didn't work, snaps photo OR forgot to turn on the flash OR head not in photo OR something else)
5. repeat

Nice pics! I bet it was awesome! Beautiful country out there! If I ever make it out there for the Tail of The Dragon, I'll look you up!

| Yeah, those wet leaves out here in the wnc mountains can sure ruin your day. Why did you choose such a crappy weather day to ride the tail? There were so many other nice, warm days out here this january!!! Great pics!!!! |
