First weekend ride of the year

Leaving tomorrow and heading through the Snoqualmie Valley to Hwy 2, then over Stevens pass to Levenworth. Coming back on Sunday, probably up over 97 (Blewett Pass) down the slab (I90) and back home.

It's a shake down trip for our two week ride to Colorado, and back through Utah, Nevada, California and back up to Washington.
Hopefully all the farkles will stay bolted on!

Re: First weekend ride of the year

We'll more than likely come back over Snoq pass. It's a big revenue generator on weekends though. Lot's of cops.
Hwy 2 does dump (no pun intended) right into Everett. But we cut off at Monroe and come through the valley south. Much nicer and not as many ass hat drivers.

Looks like it supposed to be in the upper 70's to lower 80's!!!

Re: First weekend ride of the year

Local passes had snow yesterday or so. I don't mind #2 but it's a busy truck route so I prefer #20 from Sedro Wooly to Twisp and back. Or all the way to #97 up to Oroville and back into Canada and home via #3. I recommend that loop as well as www.DestinationHighway.com A motorcycle enthusiast's guide to the best 346 roads in Washington State. Worth the investment. I have done the #2 loop and spend the night in Lake Chelan. Mom's Motel. Plus, this is the May long weekend in Canada so there will be some "cheese heads" on the roads.

Complete and utter understatement. I live in the heart of cottage country and see these boobs invade every spring. My mother, of all people, has a term for them: Cityots.

Be careful out there boys and girls, these people are determined to bend at least one bike in their travels this weekend.

We have reservations in Levenworth. 20 is a great route, no doubt, but we are going with another couple (rider and pillion) and they wanted to go to Levenworth.
I have Destination Washington, and it's a great book. It's always in my tank bag. I also have a GPS to see where that rode we just turned on will eventually end up. Sometimes though I really don't care.
