How many of us East Coast Aussies going to support Casey, Chris and Ant this year? The way the season is panning out it should be a cracker of a year on the Island. Maybe we can get together and introduce ourselves and have a beer at the Cowes Hotel. I'm going with a couple of mates one on a CB1300, another on a Busa and me and CBRXX member terrybcrash on the BIRDS. Anyway let us know and like I said it would be good to meet-up.

Yeah, i'll be there WOL, i wouldn't miss it if my life depended on it.Meeting up can be hard at these events, especially with people you don't even know. It's worth a shot though.

I'll be there to WOL. Me and a dozen or so mates will be going on Wednesday and coming home on Monday. Most of us are in the Yamaha tent this year and are renting a house in Cowes pretty close to the main street. I'm the only bird rider with the others on R1's, ZZR's, CBR 900 etc and one on a new Rocket 3. Maybe we can PM each other closer to the event and make some arrangements to meet up for a drink.

Hi Bordo,
Were leaving Sydney on the Monday and we'll take a few days criss crossing the range and arrive Thursday arvo, all going well. We've got a house just out of Cowes overlooking cow paddocks, looks like a good place to have a few cold sherbies anyway.
Should be a good year with the way things are shaping up and how determined was Rossi at Leguna Seca, reminded me of the battles he had with both Biaggi and Gibernau, now that's the way racing should be.
Anyway keep in touch and maybe we'll be able to catch-up down there. If you see a Titanium Bird (not to many around these days, their either Blue or Black) and I've got a red metalic Shoei give us a hoy. Wol

Cheers mate,
I'm on a blue 03 with Candy red Shoei and blue camo type draggin jeans. Can't miss me really......I'm really looking forward to the racing this year which never lets us down at the Island does it. Keep in touch for sure mate and we'll work something out closer to the event. Cheers.

Hey Bordo I'll keep my eye out for ya, shouldn't be to hard to spot in all 100,000 people or so, though you never know.
I think were gonna make a trip out of it this year, do the mountain roads, (though that seems to be the way we always go) I love he run down from Dinner Plains to Omeo. We think we might try some of the local micro breweries on the way this year, there's two at Beechworth, one at Bright and one at Merboo Nth, hoping to be in those towns around lunch time or so, you know have a feed and a cold one or two, can't wait.

No worries mate. We go down through the mountains where we can. The Hume Highway is terribly boring. We get off the Highway at Wangaratta and go down through Mansfield, Alexendra, Black Spur, Pakenham, Koo Wee Rup and then onto the Island. I have been down over Dinner Plain, Omeo etc and that is a great run. Got up on top there one day at Mount Hotham and it was 2 degrees...... in October !!! It was all rear brake and feet out that day. Worst conditions I've ever ridden in. A mate hit an armco rail up there and tore the magneto cover off his old Kwaka 750. He kept riding her though. He didn't have much choice all the way up there. Cheers.
