Since I am contemplating writing a story for a magazine article about my C14 rental, I haven't posted the report here. If they turn me down, I will post here.
I had they opportunity to have a few days off, and I went to see some cool Benelli motorcycles, then to the Reagan library. Impressive stuff.......

Sounds cool. Reagan. An actor. The greatest president of my lifetime. We need more actors and less lawyers in politics. Not the Susan Sureisdumb type of actor or her stupid sig other Tim I'm a chucklehead Robbins though.

Just kidding about Dr. Brown. To bad we don't have a Flux Capacitor to change our past.
Here are some other pics. Serious man stuff. The Flying White House is in excellent condition and the F14 is one of the planes launched off the USS Nimitz that downed the Libby Migs when they threatened the US Navy.
Old Double R did not play around when it came to protecting freedom. |

My son and his family live within 5 miles of the Regan Library, but sorry to say I haven't been there since they moved the planes in. Looks like that will go on the 'to do' list for sure. The Library is in the east part of Ventura County---about 30 minutes or so from there (depending on time of day) is the start of some very good canyon riding. If you decide to rent/ride again before heading back to GA---there is lots of twisties and elevation change--from sea level to over 5000ft within 60 miles or so.
I will check the posts now and then to see if you would like any suggestions for rides in this area-------happy trails kel

The rental was $214.00 for the 24hr day (I had it for 15 hrs.), plus fuel and food along the way I ended up spending a little over $300. for the entire event. My next $300.00 that is disposable is for a new helmet and tank bag that I am going to order at the end of this week and will be home waiting for me when I get back from this work mission. I have a week off, and then back out to SoCal to finish this project. After that, I am either unemployed or we get another city to service. Up in the air at this point. Contractors and sub contractors, don'tchaknow? |

Reagan was an idiot. Ketchup is a vegetable? Please. Cool bikes though.

I can understand budget issues but I'm sure as time goes on you will realize what a terrific investment you made with that $300. You got to experience a whole new world on a bike that is one of the latest and greatest. Life has a way of slipping by us and becoming narrow and mundane if we don't grab hold of the opportunity when it's there and 'go for it'. You did, and you are to be congratulated. Happy trails, kel

Thanks! If you start to put a price tag on fun, you might as well stay home. |

Not sure if it was in reference to some sort of comment that he may have made at sometime about Ketchup or what. Even if he made some sort of comment in regards to Ketchup that was in error I would hardly say that would qualify him as an idot. Maybe I'm missing something in the translation |

I voted for him twice. He wasn't perfect, but who is? Will we ever see a president of his strength again? Probably not.
He was from the Greatest Generation after all.
Some of the guys I am working with are from the South side of Chicago. One of them has a myspace page, known as Beans Baxter. Know this musician?
He has great phonemic awareness, and bought a beautiful acoustic guitar while in LA.
Also knows how to sing Sweet Home Chicago. |

Can't say that I know anyone that goes by Beans Baxter. Chicago has a great music scene. I live on the North side of Chicago but have a lot of friends on the south side. I even consider some people from the surrounding suburbs friends even when they insist on saying that they are from Chicago when they aren't. |
