So, does anybody ever do one of these group rides in the West Michigan area? A ride along Lakeshore Drive would be fun. I have yet to see another blackbird on the road in my area. The last time I saw one was when I went to the dealer to buy a used one I saw there and got there just in time to see some other guy loading it in his truck. Let me know if anyone is ever in my neck of the woods. Thanks.

I'll be your way in a year or two. It just takes a while from OK to get the right trip set up. Check the rallies thing as there several gatherings around the country.

yeah, I'm in WM, I've got and 01 XX and live in Kentwood. I know of 2 other XX riders around here but they don't ride much. They hang in the summer at Grand Haven and watch the show parked by the pier. There's some riders at wmriders.com some are mostly stunters but there's a group of sport riders that actually put miles on their bikes.

You can try the MAP feature under the MEMBERS section on the top menu bar of the forum to see if there are others in your area. You can also PIN your own location on the MAP so that others could find you as well.

I've seen the map before, but didn't know I had to mark my own location. Thanks for the info, I'm now officially "on the map".

COOL. There was a thread recently trying to bring attention to the MAP feature on this forum. It did get some additional users to MAP their own location. It's an optional thing. I think that some members of the forum simply do not want people to know where they are (perhaps a theft concern) and perhaps don't realize that you don't have to MAP your exact street address location. Just the general location. I believe that it helps bird lovers find other bird lovers.
