Hey all, just got back from a whirl-wind trip to TN. Rode about 475 miles to get down there on 4/26, watched the world trials competition on 4/27 and rode about 100miles. on 4/28 rode the Cherohala, the Dragon and then back to St. Louis for a 675 mile day (2am arrival). Had a great time, even with all the huge amounts of rain we had. I have fallen deeply in love with my Garmin Zumo after this trip, there's no better way to navigate at night in the rain lol, what an experience!
The bad news is my buddy slipped off his center stand at a fuel stop and dumped his FJR right into my bike and knocked mine down nooooo!!!! I've never dropped it in 10 years and now this. He got both my givi side bags, my engine cover, mirror, lever and bar end. Ugh. I'm thinking an insurance claim might be the way to handle this...we're still talking about it, but he's definately willing to make me happy and feels rotten about it.

Glad to hear you had a great ride! The riding is awesome down there. Sorry to hear about the damage to your bike.
On a side note, how did your new suspension perform?

On a side note, how did your new suspension perform? | The suspension is great, handles excellent with all that gear on the back. No regrets whatsoever on that purchase.

Looks like it was a good ride. Good photos on killboy, and at least the FJR had the decency to wait until those photos were taken before launching the unprovoked attack.

I have a friend at work who has one of those FJR's. He is alway admiring my bike and always like to park right next to mine in the same parking slip even when there are plenty of open spots nearby. When looking at his bike from the front view I can see the jealosy. Like the FJR is saying I wish I was as cool as the XX next to me. I'll have to keep an eye on that FJR from here on out. |

Taetor
By the way great pics and it does look like an enjoyable experience outside of the attack on your bike. I've heard others refer to dragon. Where is this exactly?
