My wife is being awfully gracious and letting me go up to Mugello for the MotoGP race while she continues to bake our little bun in the oven (18 weeks tomorrow! Little boy on the way!) Anyway, I'm wondering what's the best way to get to Mugello on race day from Florence and is better to ride the bike, rent a scooter or take public transport? I know they'll be a million bikes, but I'm not looking to deal with too much craziness or bouncing fairings left and right.

Also, what are the things to know about going to a MotoGP in Europe? Looking forward to the trip!!!

Dude, are you fookin with us? It's like 15 miles from you! Walk if you're worried!

Don't be afriad to take your bike.......that's the point! They generlly have bike only parking and will hook you up "100cc and over"

I get to ride 850 miles to see the Indy GP this year!

Above all go have a good time!

Well, 22 miles or so wont take very long maybe 30 minutes or so, I'd take the bike for sure, I always ride at my own pace and if that is faster or slower than others then so be it...I'd have thought that you'd know the road to Mugello by now anyway which is always a big advantage!! Enjoy the GP

Ah, I see the confusion. I'm in Sicily, the little island off the toe of the boot. The hotel we're staying at is in Florence, hence wondering how to get to Mugello from Florence. I'm meeting a friend in Naples (about an 8-9 hour ride from here with the ferry from Messina to the mainland) and staying the night there. The next day we're heading on up to Mugello, which is another 3-4 hours I think.
