Yeah, I'll be there from Monday June 2 through Thursday June 5. I have rides lined up for each day. Do you have any rides planned?

| I may be in transit through the Americade goings on in Lake George come June 3 or 4 en-route to the Gatlinburg TN area. I'm actually toying with the idea of getting a set tires installed at the Americade event...Pilot Road 2CT's I think,..if I can find them. What's the chances of finding a set there amid all the Goldwing and Touring tire crowd? Could a good price be found do you think? I was in the Lake George area last year during the shindig,..but only for dinner and a few beers with CB-F bike friends. I did not get a very good look around as we were targeting the East Coast and Maine lobster not Americade as a destination. I did see a sport bike or two though. Any related info would be most welcome fella's. Thanks.
Tony

Tony, at last year's Americade I only saw Dunlop and Metzeler tents, no Michelin.
The rally itself is awesome! Although primarily a touring bike rally, there are more than a couple sport bikes there. The roads in the area are great sport bike roads, too.

I live 20 mins away. I'll be there for sure. The fun starts after the touring crowd heads to bed(around 11 or so). Saturday night is usually the best night to park somewhere safe and watch the young punks on their 600's get busted by the cops(burnouts, wheelies, etc.). Lots of fun!

I would love to see another Silver XX lets hook up on Saturday and hit the road for a nice ride. I will be staying at Brookside Motel on Rt 9 just after the split from Rt 9N before you get to the Northway on the rightside of Rt 9 going North.

My friend and I go every year for the last weekend we go to Georges for dinner, if you've never been some of the best prime rib ever!! Just don't get the king cut unless you can eat a brontosarus. Then we just kick back on the hotel balcony (Super 8) with some beers and a good cigar and watch the circus. If you see a Black 2003 BB in the parking lot next to a Harley Fatboy stop and say hi.

Once again, Americade was awesome! Great rides, great scenery, great people. On Tuesday we did the Vermont High Gaps ride en route to a lunch stop in Middlebury, VT. On Wednesday we did a ride to the top of Mount Equinox near Manchester, VT. This was a real tight and narrow road to the top. Unfortunately we rode up there right after it rained so there was lots of fog with near zero visibility.
I saw some Blackbirds at various times of the week. Got to finally meet Alex (Angelski19).
On our way home Thursday morning (June 5) we were riding south on I-87 at Lake George when I noticed in my mirror a bike approaching quickly. As he passed, I noticed he was on a black Blackbird with a GIVI case on the back. The bike had an Ontario license plate. I then proceeded to catch up to him and we gave each other a head nod and thumbs up. Was that anyone from here?

WTF? I guess in all the years riding I never heard of it which is odd as I have prided myself in trying every ralley, ride, race, museum, & show I can find. I googled it. Dooh! I FAIL!
Maybe I purged it from my list due to their mission statement:
"... Americade is a gathering of friendly, fun-loving folks, for whom motorcycling is a social hobby, but not some form of rebellion. It's NOT the place for shows of speed, hostile attitudes, or illegally loud motorcycles. Americade supports the AMA position that "Loud Pipes Risk Rights."
I'm about rebellion, speed, and attitude, loud pipes and I hate the AMA with a passion and believe the motorcyclist rights are dictated by the individual and the AMA has done little to help us. Cagers still kill us at will, cops dick with us for fun and with little penalty.
That said. I must don my PC moto stuff and see this Americade some day as it looks awesome. Maybe I just go up there to ride.
Anyone snap some pics of this mess? I'd like to see it.
