toyrun on sunday in South Africa

The annual toyrun took place yesterday25/11,at all our major cities. The one that I went to had approx 20 000 bikes.Entry fee is a toy.These are collected by charity organisations and handed out to kids in orphanages etc.Good cause.there where live bands,tons of food stalls,pubs as well as people selling biking kit. | ||

The MRA (Vic) organises a toy run in Melbourne as well. I used to take part in the late 80's where we would get all of our toys and ride into the city square and load up four 12 ton trucks full with toys to be given to needy kids (Salvo's, St Vinnies, etc) we were getting up to 10,000 bikes then, and that is small compared to what they get now. Gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling taking part in this, until you have to deal with idiot cagers and cyclists on the way home. Altho 10,000 bikes swamping a bunch of lycra clad dicks feels good  .

We have a toy run here tomorrow last year we had 167 motorcycles and 4 trikes.

GREAT!!! Heavy rain with gale force wind (50mph) Hope the kids like there presents, i dont think i am going to enjoy taking them there  It is for children with special needs so you cant let them down and the smiles on there faces will make it all worth while.
