They follow canyons and climb over jagged, steep and crumbling hills. They have many tight twisty curves with shear drop offs and not much in the way of guard rails. In one section about 15 miles long, there are around 65 curves. If you are an experienced rider, then this is the ride for you. If you like scenic panoramic views, bring your camera and take this ride!

Count on it. Sorry you're not going to be there. What's in Ft. Davis that couldn't wait a week or two?
There's always the week after you get back. I live within throwing distance of the eastern edge. Let me know when you can go. One of our other SA riders is going to be at some "C" school until a little after, so I'm sure he'll want to ride when he gets back too.

COUNT ME IN....
I can't wait to get back to that area. I hope I don't get the chance to reunite with my favorite County Sherriff and talk about old times. I suggest everyone keeping a low profile while enjoying the best roads in Texas. I know big brother will be watching.

And if ANYBODY is gonna try and ride in this area AT ALL in the next few weeks, watch yourself for crap on the road. We got LOTS of rain lately, and a ton of rain yesterday and last night. It hasn't stopped yet. All of this to say, gravel from driveways will wash into the roads. Rockslides will be a possibilty. And then the infamous "COMPLETELY WASHED OUT" low water crossings. If you can't see into the next dip, slow down. It is not common to come over a rise into a low water spot, and half the road is GONE.
Keep your eyes open.

Yes Duane, I really would like to be there but I'll be in Detroit on business (bizness).
The good news is I'll have time to vist the Windsor Ballett
I'll really try to make it next year.

My buddy Varnado told me about the ride and I'm in, too. I don't have a Blackbird so I'll just have to appreciate yours.

If anyone is coming through the Austin area we could hook up and make a convoy to the meeting place. I was planning on taking the back roads to the meet and to leave at around 5pm or so. I wish the meet spot was in Kerrville but I will do what the group wants. I hope we have a big turnout and keep it safe.

I started a thread about this, but I want you XX Three sisters riders to be aware of it specifically.
There is a website, that caters to motorcycle riders along Highway 337 from Vanderpool to Leakey. The name of the site is txmotofoto.com Welcome To TxMotofoto.com! Home of JW Imaging
Go through, make a lap or three, and then early part of the following week, logon to their site, see your picture, and buy a few!

How did the ride go, guys?
Was out in Fort Davis, myself. Did not get to ride with you guys, but wanted to see how it went.
Thanks!
