Where should we meet?

Hopefully Conqy can change the TBD's to a location as you folks come up with alternate ideas.

So far the talk is to have the Meet either in mid to late June or early July. I assume the best way to tackle this is to determine the location first and then the dates.

Yeah, I can add more as needed. Actually, I think you can too. Do you see the Edit Poll option at the top right of the poll?

Canada, "come on up". If you ride up to Van or join #3 from Wash, Oregon, you'll have an awsome ride to Banff/Jasper and and even finer ride home.

So far the Sierra's are leading the polls. You damn well better be there. We'll need a Road Captain that knows the roads well to lead the rides.

Good point but he only seems to crash while on the track at warp speed. On the street he rides slow enough that the likes of me can keep up. Of course those of us that were in Red Bluff last year need to remember the "Race track smooth road" before we decide to make it official

Kinda like shortcuts.... Seems like there is always a catch!!

How do you like you strom, I had an 05 sixfity....loved it in the twistys, saddle sucked though.....rode it to and from canada in '06....4800 mile trip.

I'm the guy in the red jacket on the left next to my vstrom...Grand Tetons in the background.

Great trip!

Great trip!
I love the bike. It has done everything I've asked of it except keep up with crazed liter bike riders in the straight stuff. The tighter the road the more the Strom shines. At any legal speed the bike is a hell of a lot of fun. I did however find that any dual sport tire can easily be out ridden in the corners while on the Strom. More than once last week I had the back end starting to give out on me. The XX made me lazy so I've had the learn once again to use the gear box and liberal doses of throttle to go anywhere fast. I put the Suzuki gel seat on it and a cheapo ATV comfort pad and my butt now laughs at 500 mile days.

I see you took all the stickers off yours. I did the same. I think it cleans the bike up nicely.

Yes, on this same trip, I'd run away from everyone in the twisty's, but they'd catch and pass me on the straight aways.....

top end was about 115 indicated if i remember.

Most agile bike I've ever ridden....

You guys decide on the Sierra's I'll set it up, route it and help in any way I can. Do like we talked about this last year and base it out of Sonora, right in the middle of some of the best roads on the west coast.

Better not be on a race weekend though!
