A few of us local XX owners, and some other riders in St. Louis met up today for nice little ride. I failed to pay close attention to mileage but I think it was around 250-300 miles. The following site members were there:
-Taetor
-DragonSlayer
-oilbathtaken
-wesbh
We had a really nice ride, and managed to snake our way between all the rain storms in the area Here are some pics of the group of bikes.

Not a single silver XX. WTF?
OK looks like I'll have to drive over next time.
Keep me posted when you guys do that again.
Hey, are any of you going to HookersXX?

My mom still lives in St. Charles. I was born and raised in Jennings, northside kid.
Left St. Louis area at age 20.
Looks like you had a good ride. Loved the leaning on the building at the no loitering sign ...
regards, Jim

Looks like you all had a good ride. I was thinking about you all during that heavy rain fall Saturday. I guess it missed you. Looking forward to riding with you soon.

Nice pics. What kind of roads were encountered, twisty backroads or straight highway, or a combo of both?

all twisties of course! There's not much for scenery around our area, but the roads are actually very good and provide for some pretty fun riding. Not sure this map would mean anything to you, but here's our route. Route DD towards the bottom of the map is our little slice of riding heaven.

Don't let him Kid you. Just about all the roads we rode that day were GREAT.
Especially following Aron on Hwy Y, and having the close encounter with the CRAZY driver of a JEEP Liberty that was driving way over his head when he crossed the center line just as I was getting ready to tip the Bird into a blind left hand corner.
I think next ride we need to plan to head down to Eminence MO. and have lunch at Cowboy Deans. That way I could show you the corner that they named after my Bird 2 years ago when I left the road in a double apex left.
That will be a full day of riding though, so plan on extra time to travel.

I was sorry to miss this one but too many things were trying to happen on the same day for me. It sounds like everyone had a great ride and rain cooperated. Sunday was my ride day and I beleive that at least 150 of my 350 miles were in the rain. Nice timing.
Keep me on the ride notice list !
