Gathered with four other riders two days ago. Three on XX's, the other two were former XX owners. One now on a ZX-14, the other on a GS (But rues the day he sold his mint '02 silver bird).
We explored Northern Colorado for 400 miles. Rode three canyons, three mountain passes, had two meals, enjoyed the weather, the autumn colors, the bikes.
Was a lazy videographer this day. Just threw a digital camera and suction mount for the tank in the Corbin Smuggler hatch. Decided to record the ascent of 10,268ft. Cameron Pass at the end of the 60 mile Poudre Canyon. Despite recording through my hazy seven year old stock screen, the video turned out decent.
If you're looking for a see-how-fast-I-can ride video, save your bandwidth. If a tune from the 70's does nothing for you, save your bandwidth. If you want go on a group ride following four in synch riders, see the Aspen gold and the snow up high, use your bandwidth. Cameron Pass - Colorado Autumn - Streaming Video
Images attached below...
- At the top of Cameron Pass, with rueful Chris and his GS...
- Pausing at Pass #2...
- With the sun low in the western sky, looking north along the Continental Divide from Berthoud Pass. Something about a rumpled and endless carpet of green forest...

Looks like it was a great ride. Good pics too! Had this weekend off but could't ride at all - it's just pouring here in the Pac NW. App 2" in the last 24 hrs.
Keep those pics coming. BTW, my wife was in awe (as was I) of the pics and video from your trip to the Swiss/Italian Alps!

Move to the spot in your report where you want the image to appear, click the Down Arrow beside the Paperclip (attachment) icon, and choose the image you want to insert at that spot. You can insert the attached thumbnail inline in your post.

Happened to use the same digital camera for the recording of that trip (Small size for a jammed suitcase!). Thanks again and good riding,

Wow. After riding some shyte Sicilian roads yesterday with parched earth, goats and horse poo to look at, that video is making me drool! Nice pavement, gorgeous scenery and a bunch of like-minded individuals. Great job!

Thanks... it was a great ride. Wish I had the better camera and mount with me but it was still decent.
BTW, had a great trip through the Swiss and Italian Alps this past summer following business there. Saw more than a few XX's. Images and video here: A Yank in the Alps, 20 Passes, 13 Videos, 5 Days, Images & Impressions - ADVrider |

| Sept. 9, 2006 Hwy 14 was the best road I've ridden anywhere, this includes the infamous "DRAGON". But the town of Walden sucks; crummy motels and bad food. Caught a skin disease in The Chedsey Motel, took months to get rid of it. I'm told it's first class moose country; well maybe a moose slept in my room the night before I did.

| sfarson , By the way; very nice pics and video. I like your riding pace. Very nice resturant in Rustic, a good place to pause, had an excellent lunch. I have friends in Ft. Collins and plan to visit there again this year or next. Maybe we could get together. Mike
