Re: IMOT germany

i am very disappointed. nothing new. the newest bike was the vfr1200 but that bike is in the lokal dealers store for some time now.

a lot of old bikes like the kawa zzr/zx1400 but you weren´t allowed to sit on.

and even the new bikes (ktm, honda, yamaha, suzuki, bmw... etc.) are that frowzy manufactured... ugh!

for example carbon and texalium fenders but the cutted edges wheren´t finished, cast die parts where you cut your finger while cleaning and so on.

six big halls and nothing new. 700km and some money for nothing.

Re: IMOT germany

heisti... I went to the IMS here in Chicago. I'm not sure on the comparitive size of the two shows but I was somewhat disappointed in the Chicago show as well. BMW, KTM. Aprillia, Moto Guzzi, were all not present at this years show. The VFR was the only new bike of interest to me. Have I mentioned that the VFR is one fugly bike. Almost as bad as the DN01.

Re: IMOT germany

Six halls sounds like a lot. Not sure of the size of the halls. Here in Chicago we had vision, ducati, honda, Kawazaki, Suzuki, harley davidson, boulavard, hyosong or whatever they are called. No BMW which is what I wanted to see. Oh one of the local BMW dealers did have a side booth with about 3 bikes present but no BMW K1300S which is what I wanted to see. They did have the new 1000RR but you couldn't sit on it. So for new bikes that I was somewhat interested in seeing it was the VFR and after seeing it all I can say is that it is much much more fugly in person than it is in the pictures. For anyone who is considering that monstrosity I strongly urge you to go see it in person before getting too excited about it. Bring a barf bag. Honda needs some help in the design area. Just some wierd shapes on that bike and the gas tank is way high up in the air.
