just got back from "opening night". I guess this "cold front" has 'em all in shock. went to dinner @ the wife's bar in New Smyrna, only bike there. From there went up US1, pretty much deserted, to main st...only had to stop twice on main, pedestrians. Then got on ISB went out by the track...nobody, went by hess\wing house...empty. So, got on 95...a buck twenty all the way home

Ok, now all the HD yahoos are coming into town. My shop is on US1 & they've been going by all morning headin' north to Daytona. Only a few sportbikes so far.

on US1 in south Edgewater, about 20 miles south of Daytona. We're a Grady White\Action Craft\Yamaha outboard dealer.

I'm riding down for the weekend. Wanna check out "the Metric Experience" in ormond beach.....free admission. The Metric Revolution - Home Then Main street for the party and the babes and the beer and the rock bands........and the smoked turkey legs. Anyone have a beachside room reserved? |  We found a guy in Daytona that'll remove the seat skin & replace the foam w\that new "gel" material. Normally he's $55 labor & up to $100 for the material, but he's doing a group deal for us Fri am if anyone is in town & wants to check it out.

What is this gel stuff? Will it make a difference on a corbin or is it mainly for factory seats? Where will he be set up at?

He's in the Sunshine Park shopping plaza parking lot in South Daytona, across from the old Jim Walkers Honda\Suzuki. We'll be there mid morning Fri.

Yep, US1 is mainland, A1A is beachside. The HD dealer in Daytona is on Beach St., the big one...Destination Daytona is in Ormond Beach on US1 @ I95, north of Daytona.

Leaving Ft Lauderdale this Evening with my Nephew, Brad. We will ride to Orlando tonight and spend the night there at his fiance's place and then ride over in the morning to the Track. Visit venders first then watch the race from the Horseshoe area of the infield. John = CBR1100XX Fast Red BlackBird Brad = RC51 Fast Red / Silver Looking forward to meeting up some members tomorrow |

Daytona Superbike @ 11:15 Formula Extreme Daytona 200 @ 2:00 TOMORROW John, there's a bunch of us meeting @ Denny's @ Clyde Morris & Dunlawton Ave (Clyde Morris Blvd is east of the track, runs north\south, turn right go south) around 9am, if ya wanna meet up w\us & ride in.

Mike Just got home a few minutes ago. Fun road trip today, enjoyed meeting you and the crew. Ended up doing 750 miles in the last 24 hours. I am worn out after walking at least 2 miles around the track today also. Losing an hour sleep tonight sucks but then I am about ready to crash now anyway. Great day, great weather and good racing. Honda finished 2nd and 3rd in the Daytona SuperBike race but........ lead 1st and 2nd for the first half of the Formula Extreme 200 but ............ Josh and Miguel both ran out of gas, literally !!!!!!!! Left Kawasaki to take the top two spots :-( |

Damn John, great time  , cruise on 110 & go , huh? Good to finally meet you, & thanks for the parts bud!! Wish you could've gone in the fan zone w\us & grabbed a beer, or stayed for dinner & met some more of the group. The 3 of us you met today was only about 1/10 of the guys I ride with. Glad u made it home safe DAMN SUZUKI'S & KAWI'S

The reality of being able to enjoy and afford it all is what happened. $100 r/t gas money, events, beer, food, t-shirts and stuff...another $200+, 2 nights for a motel room (with no one to split it with...another $250 or so. And its coming at a time when by business is dead for 4 months. So I couldn't see spending $500 or more, being in the saddle for 1100 miles there and back, just to have a much needed bike rally vacation for less than 48 hours. OOOOOhhhhhhhh I truly am bumming out bad now. But if you're ever up here in the mountains and need a place to stay, just give me a shout. Tail fo the dragon is about a 2 hour ride from my place.....not to mention all the nice moutain riding roads. The positive side to not making bike week is that I have to money to use on the up and coming group buy of the Steel Braided brake lines and hopefully the clutch line. Sure hope to see this GB soon. Take is EZ........ |
