The link brings me to a place where they talk about the hotel and we are supposed to tell the hotel the dates are Feb, 25th thru Feb 28th. Then they go on and list track day sessions with NO prices for that weekend. What is all that about? Confusing. You gave the dates as in March. I see the spot to buy for 170usd the Friday session. What about the Saturday session? i dont see a place to buy that. I am going to make a purchase of the Friday session. You did say i could get a ride too along with my bike? I am leaving the car at home. i will help with gas of course, That wont be cheap. I am quite stoked! I am making reservations at the Days Inn. Correct? Oh, i see. When i go to the cart they say i have to CALL to book the Saturday session. EDIT: All paid for. Reservatiions at Days INN for MArch 11-14th. depart 14th, Sunday. 180 bucks incl tax 170 for the track day and 40 for the 2 XXL shirts. Not bad!!! Sounds like nice folk up there. I may play spectator on Sat. But Friday wpould be a hoot. I have tracked my M3 but never a bike outside a drag strip. I need to practice. You recommended Michelin Road 2 tires? MAybe i will go to school to learn how to drag a knee. Never owned a sport bike and I never tried on vacation in Thailand. Last edited by BigDave; 01-10-2010 at 9:55 PM.

i got incredible deals on a 120 pilot race front with that sharp profile for a good quick lay over and a large surface area for traction on an angle/lean / I have 2 180/55 rears, a med soft and a soft compound. Its going to be chilly i think so i will run the soft compound in the rear i think. My acceleration is still incredible since i re geared. I need all the traction i can get. I think it is a nice gearing for a track, especially since i have such great engine braking when i let off on the throttle now. I guess I will find out. I will be putting my foot peg right up high again for the track. I cant begin to describe the increase in perceived power. I know my HP is not a single pony different, but hoo boy does it FEEL greater. A HUGE bit greater. The bike pulls in 6th gear like no ones business!

Sent you a PM X1 Cost is $5.00 to enter the track and that goes for all of us that paid for the track day. If you can make it there then come on down and join the fun Don't let cost stop you from joining us. I lost my job last month and wouldn't miss this for the world unless I get a new job that will not allow me to be off that weekend. |

I want to go so bad!!!! I'm wondering if there's anyone from the New England/Northeast that either has room on a trailer or has a truck to pull a trailer down there. Half the gas price is always nice!!! ![]() My car is too old to go that far and I'm not allowed to use my Gramp's Duely because of Insurance conflicts. This sounds like a great time, hope to hear from someone... -Rob |

But if you are less than 6'2" or so you stand a good chance of finding sometning. These will last a lifetime if taken care off and the salt sweat washed away. I recommend their WArrior back armour for an extra 150 dollars. Down here in FL You almost NEVER see anyone in full leathers even when the temperature is cool. In Atlanta and other parts of the country you see a lot of guys wearing full leather suits on the street. So buy something conservative that you would not mind wearing on the street and your bargain buy becomes even greater. 600 dollars is not a small amount of money but most good suits retail for 1100 or more. I have seen some really horrid suits for 400. Pay the 600 and get a world class Spidi that normally goes for 1100 or even more. Check it out: Amazing Selection of Spidi Suits and Jackets @ Extreme Supply! Spidi -Warrior Protector '08@ Extreme Supply!

Thanks for the info but at even $600 it looks like I won't be going this year . I'm around 6'2" and in the process of losing wieght so this isn't the best time to invest that kind of money.

| Re: RacerXX 2nd Annual Event Well, there is your answer right there! No excuses now. I am excited beyind belief. I have tracked my car several times, been drag racing plenty of times, but road/track time on a bike i think demands the most amount of skill. Scary stuff since it is so easy to high or low side if you lose concentratioin even for an instant. I am not showing up with any new body work. So i wont be babying the bike. I will most likely work hard at getting a knee down. Unfortunately i did not send my forks to Traxxion in time. I want them powder coated too and thats where i could run into a problem. I was really hoping to have a half way decent front end. My bike is suffering now because the rear is so great with the Penske and the forks are dying in comparison. They really dive badly IMO, I cant wait to have them gutted and re done. |
