Austrian Birds ready for take-off!
Hello fellow Birdies
Seems like this year the number of registered Austrian XX forum members more than doubled itself (good sign, keep it going!), so I guess it's time for a meetup (and short round...)
So, officially calling all Austrian birds to positions!
Objectives:
1. face2face recognition exercise (i.e. getting to know)
2. short ride (i.e. evaluating skillz ;-)
3. CBR - Cold Beer Racing (i.e. summary report)
When, Where: open for suggestions! Since we are not that many (5 on last count), we should be able to agree ;-)
Let the bidding begin!
PS: based on results from this and future demand we might want to organize a central-european-meetup someday, so don't forget to check this thread for future meetings...

Re: Austrian Birds ready for take-off!
I could take the afternoon off on Thursday - we can have a short round (take advantage of the afternoon, weather permitting) and then have a nice dinner somewhere along the way (while everyone is commuting back home)
... and then hopefully drive home ...

Re: Austrian Birds ready for take-off!
I can be Austrian too... Ja!
My hands are tied,
The billions shift from side to side,
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride,
For the love of God and our human rights....

Re: Austrian Birds ready for take-off!
I'll leave on Friday for Munich so Thursday would be great. How about bikers standard meeting point in Lower Austria called Kalte Kuchl? ;-)
The airstrip is big enough even for parking our birds ;-) and the Topfenstrudel at the officers' mess is sort of excellent ;-)
Greets,
Stefan

Re: Austrian Birds ready for take-off!
Kalte Kuchl is also a fine destination.... So where exactly do we meet, and at what hour? Route plans?
Hang On, Not Done Accelerating.....

Re: Austrian Birds ready for take-off!
We should meet there as early as possible, because it's an hour at least from Vienna to go there. And the route (no matter from witch direction you come) is not that easy going, so it would be not so nice, if it gets dark while we meet up there I guess. There's a lot of wildlife in the woods along the streets and the animals come out crossing the streets during dawn-times. Ever crashed into a deer or wild pig with your bike?
How about 4 pm (or 16:00) ?
I could also meet up with you guys early in the morning but I guess most ofd you will have to work?
Greets,
Stefan
