Yep thats a nice bike too. Its carbuereted though, im not sure if thats an issue. I bet the birds faster too

I feel about the same as rex. I owned a 02 zx12r. Very strong bike. I liked the way it looks over the zx14. And very easy to get more power. They are lighter and imo they corner better than the bird.

But...... if your not racing, its not worth the switch for the power. As the suspension sux for riding. The riding position sux. Not cofortable. Also parts are hard to find. Harder than the bird I think.

This is all my opinion. But I know ride a bird getting of the zx12r. The zx12r if fun and fast. But the bird is fun fast enough and great for everyday.

Zx-12 is lighter,different geared and overall more sharp in geometry characteristics..it was built as a supersport ...i think there's no comparison with the bird..totally different approach ..you will get a more sporty bike but you will miss all the things you enjoyed on the blackbird...
