G'day Guys and Girls, Just got back from a short stay on the Isle Of Man and am now planning a 4 week stay there from the 4th of June 2011. Wondering if anyone has any ideas re accomodation for the 4 weeks. Will require 2 bedroom accomodation for 4 people. Thanks, Paul

Hmm presuming that there is only one Isle of Man, Next years TT runs from 28th May to 10th June ............................ so accommodation will be very hard to come by since it will be 100 years of the mountain course. Can't help with details, last time I was there it was a tent which somebody decided to set light to .............. ahh the good old days!

I Googled Isle of Man accommodations, and found a bunch of stuff but those dates may be taken!

Yeah, thanks for the reply mate. Have a couple of options so far for self contained lodging after the race and a couple of expensive options for hard bedding during the race period. Just thought that somebody with local knowledge may have other options that only a local would be aware of. Bloody beautiful place, can't wait to go back. Looking at purchasing a bike as soon as we arrive and selling it cheap just before we leave. Work on this more once the accomodation is sorted. Whilst in the UK we spent 2 days at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. What a blast! Thanks again, Paul

All the good accomodation is usually booked years in advance ..... buy a cheapo caravan and just leave it there when you go ......

G'day guys, thanks for the replies. Managed to book a 2 bedroom cottage at Laxey for the whole 4 weeks including race week. $400 pound/week including services. Still a fair bit of stuff available. Now I will do some homework re the purchase of a bike for the 4 weeks. Thanks again Paul
