Acutally the post used to be addressed to Warchild but somehow it seems to have been changed.

Yes, the title was "Hey Warchild" or something similar, so I changed it to be more descriptive, so people would know what it was about, and it would show up on searches.

Not looking for prices, because you don't know that yet, but do we have a clue as to what brand(s) and whether it'll be slip-ons or full system?

I might be able to swing a exhaust. Price factor. Been wanting to try a Akrapovic myself.

Mike | Looking at both slip-ons and full-systems. Several brands are being looked at, but I want to say no more until I lock the vendors in.

ha ha !!! Even tho you may be targeting me again with another one of your infamous Group Buys, this time I am safe!! Good thing for me cause the last four about killed me with the new Pazzo levers, Gold Wheels, Pro-Oiler and Ohlins Shock!!
I love my full Titanium Akropovic 4-2-1
Now if we can hold off for another month before the Wave Rotor Group Buy, I may be able to go another Group Buy Round.
Thanks for all your efforts with the GB's, Dale
I know it is alot of work to organize.

Yeah, wave rotors (and stainless lines) would probably tempt me past the point of resistance again. I've considered putting Pilot Roads on the OEM rims with the OEM rotors for longer distance rides, and putting wave rotors and usual Pilot Powers on the Carozzerias for most of my backyard mountain riding. Bastard damn near had me in bankruptcy a year ago with two bikes being farkled on GBs that Satan was running.

Okay, here's an update....
Got some good news , and bad news.....
Bad news first:
Today, I personally spoke to Kevin Erion of Erion Racing fame.
Even though I pleaded... begged.... him to resume making Blackbird exhaust components, he said it just wasn't economically practical. Sadly, there will be no more Erion Racing exhaust systems ever produced again.
Good news: I am down to the three different exhaust systems for the XX; I am just waiting on two more vendors to get back with me on the prices that want to offer to us.
The three exhaust systems are: Akrapovic: full exhaust system - TiForce: full exhaust system -
And a surprise entry, Muzzy Titanium:
I hope to hear from the two vendors by tomorrow, though it's possible it might be Monday.
And I haven't heard diddly if any of our forum sponsors want to bid on this Group Buy.... if so, send me a PM!

In a nutshell....
1) I put together the vendor offers, and select the best price (though sometimes, I'll go with a proven vendor who has the demonstrated customer service we want, even if a "blow-out house" price may be a few dollars cheaper)
2) I assemble a Group Buy web site for signups. There is usually a two-week window where players must sign-up, or loose out on the killer pricing. Sometimes, the final price will be a function of the final number of participants, so the web site will show the vendor how committed we are to the buy. Sometimes, it's a fixed price no matter how many (or how few) players sign up.
3) At the end of the GB signup period, I email the vendor POC and phone number to all GB players. At that juncture, I'm out of the scene; it's a normal transaction between you and the vendor at that point.
4) You call in your order; the vendor looks you up on the web site to ensure you are eligible for the killer price, and asks you for your GB confirmation number (which is sent to you after you sign up). These two measures help prevent any abuse. He then processes your order, shipping only to the address you provide when you sign up on the GB website.
Pretty simple, huh? |

Oh boy, are you in for some trouble. Warchild (bless his heart ) does his best to keep us broke. He does this by doing a very large (and much appreciated) amount of work chasing up amazing prices for items. You then opt in if you wish to buy, usually via a website and receive goodies at greatly reduced prices.
eg Wheels, Shocks, Levers, Chain Oilers, Front suspension etc (Lots of etc).
All top end stuff and as previously stated, greatly reduced prices due to the bulk orders.
It's very addictive and once you start....
Get your PayPal account started now!
So far I have only got the Pro_Oiler, Wilber Shock and have been short of money for some others. I really would have liked the Carozzo(sp) wheels but I missed out because of the shipping costs down here.
He's a right bastard when he gets going.
Edit: Damn....He beat me to it. See what I mean?

I notice that a lot of bikes on here have a single can on them now.
Is this a better, more powerful set-up? I like the looks of the
double cans but I want to upgrade to a new exhaust and am looking
to possibly go to a 4 to 1 if it is better. Lemme know prices and thoughts
please and thx///Chuck |
