Hi guys.

My injected bird which has 26K (miles) on the clock sounds like a chain rattling when it is cold however, when you dip the clutch, the noise stops. Releasing the clutch lever brings the noise back again when cold and when the cold start switches off. When the engine is warmed up, the noise seems to go but, switching it off for half an hour and restarting it brings the noise back again. The sound is like a loose chain, thats the only way I can describe it. Has anyone any ideas or had the same noise. Would it be a CCT or a new clutch. If it is a new clutch is 26K about the right change period. The oil is 10/30 synthetic.

Thanks Ironmike.

Is that the fault and will it ever pack up or let me down?

Nope - they all do that. In fact most bikes will make that noise (wet clutches anyway). All of my honda's do it so don't worry about it.
