Guys.
I have a 00 XXY injected bird. I have been toying with the idea of fitting a Power Commander. I have a history problem with the FI light coming on even after doing the perm loom fix, also the knock sensor light is flashing fault and there is a strong smell of unburned feul coming from the exhaust. Will fitting a PC help these problems do you think? ALso does the PC directly replace the ECM unit? Does the PC come with full and clear fitting instructions? I have heard about "maps", does the PC come with maps and if so, how do I install them via computer? And the final question honestly, Can I screw up my bird if I install the wrong map after fitting th PC? Any other info about Power Commanders would be much appriciated.

Strictly plug and play with no cutting or removal of anything. Very easy to do and install. Took me 30 minutes to get mine installed. I put mine under my seat and used velcro to keep it secure.

Be sure to install the correct map tho. I wouldn't say it would screw your bike up but it sure will not run to it's potential.

Get you the PC3 with the USB connector and install the software on your computer. Be sure to download all of the maps and then pick the one you want to use then plug it in to your commander, load the map, and you are done. Way easier than a jet kit!!!

You will notice the throttle response to be better. I noticed immediately when I cranked the throttle and the front came up effortlessly without trying to wheelie. Be careful after you install it!

The PC will not fix your problems. The PC is a piggyback to the ECM, not a replacement. You need to fix whatever issues you are having first or the PC will not be able to do it's job correctly.
