Last week I installed a Yoshimura RS-3 full system (stainless steel primary header and polished cannister) on my 97' BB.

It was very easy:
1- remove lower cowls (R-L)
2- remove mufflers (R-L)
3- remove radiator support (stay radiator)
4- remove header
5- remove 4 header gaskets
6- clean and lube all (washers, bolts, nuts etc..)

Install in the opposite sequence with 4 new header gaskets

P.S.: no oxygen sensor in my case

I have the 2002 which is fuel injected, so no rejetting necessary. Talking to a bike mechanic; he claims it will be beneficial to me to re-map the system, but it does not have to be done since the ECM will make most of the adjustments anyway. Will probably add a power commander later so I can map myself since I ride at 4000 - 5000 feet above sea level

Any chance that I could buy your stock head pipe? I just bought a 99 and some butchered the exhaust. Thanks.

WVblackbird-
I am sorry, the header and pipes are so heavy i did not figure anybody would want them. I took them to the recycling center 2 weeks ago. I would have sent them to you for shipping. Totally sorry, I should have posted they were available long ago.
