Several months ago, I removed my PCII, Micron slip ons, and K&N air filter in order to reinstall a Honda air filter and OEM mufflers.
Well... several days ago, I was looking at the Microns and noticing how good they looked, decided to reinstall them on the bike along with the K&N filter. After riding a few hundred miles, it almost seemed to feel as if the slip ons had caused some noticeable vibration in the footpegs and in the handgrips. Therefore, I removed them and reinstalled the OEM mufflers again.
Has anyone experienced, or imagined that they experienced, an increase in vibration when using slip ons?

Most definately, with my Yosh's, they slightly rubbed the swingarm!
Had to majorly adjust them to the point they looked canted out from the rear.

For a brief period after installing the Erion Racing slip-ons, I thought I detected a slight increase in vibes in and about the footpegs, but it seemed to disappear after a couple hundred miles...
Perhaps the mid-pipe and slip-on joints where doing some 'settling" during this period, I dunno... |

I wouldn't be surprised if the extra weight of the stock cans dampens some vibration, just like handlebar weights.

What I have noticed about some/many after market End Cans is that the crappy," plumbers strap" brackets/hangers allow, movement, vibration, rubbing on swing arm, axel nut.
Sometimes the poor attemp at making a Center Stand hold off is Micky Mouse.
The" universal " nature of some of these Cans/ Brackets really in " MY Opinion" is the reason, not really alot of engineering here.
Lots of these cans, and that is a good discription, "Cans" are sheet metal, pop revits, and a decal.
Don't mean to Flame anyone, just my personal observation.

If you guys would go to the trouble of rubber mounting your brackets you wouldn't have any vibes. I had my Rens rubber mounted and felt no increased vibration what so ever. Plus lost 15-20lbs of weight by putting on the Renegades.
