    Engine rattle when cold

Open to suggestions ,when it has not run for a few days and the engine is cold and at low idle with choke on, I hear what to me in the old days sounds like a clutch basket rattle that when warm {say couple mins.} it goes completely away and increasing the RPM till its warm seems to eliminate the rattle also. Also I found if I start the bike with clutch pulled in, I do not have that problem…when warm and at any RPM cannot hear a thing. Clutch works perfect and plates as far as know where just replaced before I purchased it.

Yep normal clutch rattle. Nothing to worry over

Nothing to worry about, they all have it. rev up the idle to 1400 rpm and keep the clutch in when it's cold. Syncing the carbs will help.
When I purchased the bike I almost pulled out of the deal because of this noise, only later did I learn it's normal.
Bikes and wives . . . always a difficult topic. My Bird hasn't complained yet about my wife, so she can stay for the time being . . .

Syncing the carbs helps A Lot if they are out of sync.
