Lubed the smallish rods that adjust the idle, they may stick in the throttle body for that particular cylinder or cylinders. I also had two fouled plugs. Also replaced wax unit surprisingly it was only $24.00. Observe the long rod that controls the little rods and check to see if they are sticking if you have some plugs you think are running rich and the idle is not smooth ! First I cleaned the small rods then with a small piece of cut wire hanger applied the lube to each rod, they must move in sinc to maintain proper idle ! Don't let this happen to you took me quite awhile and many plugs to fix !
Now that we have cooler nights, My bike just started idling high at 1200-1300rpms , all summmer it has been at 900rpm
. Even from cold it did not go much higher !! Now
From cold it goes almost to 2k and drops immediately to the 1200-1300 rpm range and stays there !
would this be a wax unit issue or something else?
Its supposed to idle when warmed up over 46 deg at 1200 plus or minus 10%
Seems about right
Cheers
