heheh !!!

Actually Honda has named it the "Lifter Set" but we have decided that we like to call it the CCT or Cam Chain Tensioner !!

Replacements available in stock at $35.50 delivered in the US.

The CCT takes about 10 minutes to swap out if you have not done it before. Two allen bolts and it is out.
Remove lower right plastic only to get to it.

easy job

Re: Top end rattle need advice

hey I had a knock and I replaced the chain tensioner. I have low miles. the bike was just bought and I don't know what the previous owner did to it but it thurned out it was the crank shaft was bad and all by berings went bad. I am in the middle of fixing it now. but the cct I pulled off was fine. I think it was recently replaced and now I have 2. if you want one you can have it for free. I know it works and free is good to at least make sure it is your cct that's bad and not your crank. let me know.

NO NO NO, don't listen to any of these guy's.

After careful study of your problem, I believe I have pin pointed the problem.

Simple fix.

Change your key fob over to a rubber one, and the rattling should go away.
