Gas tank on reserve... How to tell??

Well I have had my 01 bird for a month now (and 4500km late) and I was wondering how to tell when I start running on my reserve?? I have seen the last 1/8 bar flash. Does that mean I am on the reserve? Or is it after that??

Thanks,

Don't you '97-'98 owners have a small orange light in your analog fuel gauge that illuminates when you are on reserve?

Yes, we do. Usually when it illuminates it's time to fill-up. Really not the difficult.

The owner's manual for my '98 states that when the low level light comes on you have approximately one gallon left.
