| Dyno tune results
Had my dyno tuning done today, 13 pulls. End result is 130.5 hp with 78 tq. This is not corrected for altitude - the dyno work was done at a density altitude of 5500-6000'. Baseline was 125/76 with stock setup, and was uncorrected as well. At 2% per thousand feet, this equates to 145 hp. DynoJet dyno was used. I was told of all the BBs they had tuned, mine was the strongest. (Maybe they tell everyone that?) The area under the curve is where the biggest gains are - hp falloff approaching rev limit is reduced a notoceable amount, as is area under the curve above 9000 rpm. I was hoping to get 10-15 hp over stock, since I'd read of others seeing those gains, but I'm happy with the way the bike feels - substantially smoother and stronger than stock. I'd be happy to post the map if anyone needs one for altitude. I had uploaded the 2 Bros full exhaust PCIII map when I installed it, and it turns out it was running lean with that map. My mods - full Akro Sport, PAIR block-off, PCIII and K & N. Jeff | |

I am no expert in the field, but 13 pulls sure seems to be a lot Did it just take that many to get her properly dialed in-a lot of fine tuning?145 corrected hp is a nice number though

| Re: Dyno tune results They spent alot of time making sure they had the best map. Bike actually did 2 more peak hp with a leaner setup - but they didn't like the 14:1 ratio. They were looking at 13:1 as an optimum.

Good numbers. Better than mine , but I'm still running the stock head pipe with just slip on's. I got 141hp & 83ft/lbs. I'm hopefull for close to 150 with a full Akro system sometime in the distant future.

Sorry been very busy and only now gettin round to postin the dyno results. Had to postpone the first run due to the PCIII not arriving when I hoped (Thanks for doin your best Jeff ). The Mods are Yoshi slip on's, PCIII, O2 eliminator and pair kit. Dyno run was done on a very hot 38 deg C ( 100 deg F ) day and the bikes only done 6800kms ( still a baby ). Results are 143.1 hp and 83.3 ft lb of torque, was hopin for more (thanks Honda for the bullshit quoted sales hp figures ) but still think they are pretty good numbers. The change in response and low rev pick up is great and it feels crisper all over. Need to fit a good air filter and get him to run it again. Very happy boy Russell Speak at Dynotime in Wangara, great job, great service and your an allround great bloke. Any fellow West Aussies wanna get their bike tuned or suspension overhauled ring Russell. Can't recommend him high enough. Great service.Gunna book the wifes new gixxer in to get the suspension lowered and tuned to make it more her size ( 5' 1"). |

I'm still unable to post my results since the floppy that they're on can't be read by the computer. I'll have to go back to the shop and see what the problem is. Thanks to all you guys for posting your dyno info.

| I'll ask them, but I don't think they're on the leading edge of technology, if you know what I mean. On a side note, I pulled the program off the PC yesterday, and it shows to be the same as the program I brought it in there with, so I don't know if I fouled up downloading the program, or if they ended up with the same program as the generic full exhaust program on the website. I know they did the pulls since I was there, just seems unlikely they'd end up with an identical program. I do think the bike is running rich, due to lower fuel economy (a couple MPG) and sooty tailpipe, but I'm just guessing here.

Hi guys! I'm new to the board with -07 XX from Finland. I just had mine dyno'd 2 weeks ago. The bike had the only 1000km on the clock during the dyno run. I've changed the original exhaust to Yoshimura 4to1 full set, also K&N free flow filter installed and PCIII with a custom made settings. From the back wheel dyno results were very good: 155.46 MaxHP and torque Max Nm 127.05 with STP corr.f. being 1.095 (whatever this stands for??). Max RPM was 10 938. Measured by MJP 2000 dyno at sea level. |
