    heat!!! throttle pulse

hello everyone, so first off sorry for long post, but here it goes.

a couple of weeks ago i posted about the bike running on 3 clynders, took to the shop and they found out the wires to the injectors were corroded. they replaced the wires (so they say) and did a spark plug swap for me and a tune up.

when i picked up the bike it rode better then before, and was actullay running smoother.

next day took bike to work, rode fine to work but on the way home it was a little warm out, and the temp gauge was about mid way the whole time. when got off the highway and hit the streets i noticed the bike was starting to run a little warm. now with that being said the rpms started to fluctuate between 1500 rpm to 1000rpm. when i would take off from a light normal, it would like surge it self and pulse so my head was rocking back and forth this happen thru all the gears, trying to stay about 50 mph on the street, it was pulsing pretty bad and you can hear it in the exhaust.

get to a light the rpms would go down to under 1000 rpm and wanted to shut off.

thinking maybe bad fuel i topped it off with top tier gas and 91 octane, (which i always use 91) took to work and rode fine . on the way home it was the same thing again, when it got warm out.

yesterday, i was going to a local bike night. lots of traffic on freeway, was with a couple of friends that dont like to lane split so there i sat, we ended up lane splitting, the whole time in traffic was about 15 mins long and the bike started doing its thing again pulsing.

as i was giving it some throttle, it was pulsing pretty bad which made me start to get over to shut bike off, and sure enough it didn't let me, it shut of on its own. so there i am coasting trying to make it to side of road and whole time trying to restart to no avail.

as im on side of road, the temp gauge was not on red and was about a 3rd of the way up. i tried restarting and it was struggling to stay on, so i shut off again. (at least it started) i let it cool down, started back up and it started fine, and continued on my way

now the good part, as i ride home about 8:00pm its nice and cool, it did great , no issues, i get off the highway, and started on the streets, and temp goes about midway, and sure enough its acting up again pulsing and riding rough. since its night, i noticed a wierd thing, the FI light was flickering, not on all the way but was trying to get there. if that makes since,
when i would give it throttle to go from a red light flickering stopped.

but it was pulsing bad, not smooth and cannot keep throttle at a constant speed. got home and left it one and tried to get video of light but sure enough it doesn't happen.

does anyone have any idea what this can be? maybe bike thinks its running hotter then usual and shuts off? is there a temp sensor?

    does fan kick on..Yes
    do i have coolent..Yes

now I am going to take it back to the shop but wondering if I can get your expertise on the matter so i have an idea.

    anyone else have these issues?

sorry again for the long post but rather try to say the whole story then bits and pieces.

    thanks

Can you find one? Or, start doing your own work using a Hanes manual and this site. It's done in this way frequently. Good luck!

you need to do the loom fix for the FI light once completed I'd also check the Fuel Pressure Regulator

there is a sticky on the loom fix and the FPR is easy to check and by far the most common cause of issues on FI birds
