My guess is he knew he had the problem, everydayrider99 called and said he would b there at two. So at 130 the guy swaps out the plugs. Leaves just enoug gas in it to run on reserve but not "on". This way he could put the petcock on "on" but there would be no gas to come out.

Well... I am screwed. Woke up this morning to a small pool of oil under my bike. I would assume the bike did not appreciate being ran with fuel in the oil. (No I did not run the bike after finding the fuel in the oil, but I am sure the damage was done.) I will be traveling for the next couple of weeks and will not be able to look at it. Probably out 3 grand.


Anybody want to buy a set of V&H SS2R's with headers custom fit to a Blackbird? haha, might as well make a little of it back.

A leaky gasket or something like that is hardly the end of the world, and certainly doesnt mean a 3 grand bike is worthless

Yea I know, it was just a bit of shock, and encouraged some over reacting. Anyway, I will tear it down in a few weeks when I get back into town. I guess until then is to keep reading up on the forum. Thanks.

Haha, I do not know what a Pram is, but I know what you are saying. Will do.

Did you order a fpr yet? Put that in,find out where the oil came from.If its just simple like a clutch gasket change it,put new oil in and try again (fire it up).Done.

I would like to think this is all it will take, and I sure as hell hope it is. I did not order the FPR yet, because I am traveling for business/traveling for the next 3 weeks. Won't get to tear it down til then. I am staying optimistic with you though.

The faith is being kept my man. My VFR has been put through some abuse and runs great.... anyway. I am sick of the electrical issues with the VFR. I am selling it and devoting my effort and money to the bird. Love them both, but I love the power more.
