Whats a good slip-on muffler?
I guess this topic has been thrashed heaps of times but i still cant find a good place to get any nor know what is good? I'd like to stay with the 2 pipe setup (or whatever it is called).
Whats a good slip on mufflers for a cbr1100xx? I know there are different brands (expensive too) and personal choices but i'd rather hear from members who actually has them; what do you think of it.
Also where is the cheaper place to order them?
Any opinion is good.
Thanks.

I'm a newbie in this forum so be nice

Re: Whats a good slip-on muffler?
Did you do a search?? I think we just dealt with a similar question. Many will go for a full system but you might need a pciii and dyno. I run TwoBros C5 Titanium slip ons for the last 8 years. There is a huge weight savings, I like the sound, and symetry of duel pipes. TwoBro is a reputable company out of California. I have repacked them once in 8 years. I just did an e-bay search for Bird parts and there were many pipes for sale. Some as low as $250 up to $1,200 Plus shipping. Remember, "one man's floor is another man's ceiling" so to speak. Sort of like women. I think she's a mut, you think she's a beauty.

Canadian... you´re so right. Changing the mufflers will do nothing and replacing for a full system should always go with a PCIII or the one you choose in order not to f*ck up the FI.
That´s why i keep on the stock mufflers, i love the sound but i would like a pair of scorpions (full system, Akrapovic)

Slip ons safe a lot of weight, sound decent, look much better than oem and give a little oomph. imo

Re: Whats a good slip-on muffler?
I've got a set of fuel mufflers on my 06bird. They're made in England, have an awesome sound with the baffles in and sound evil with the baffles out. The build quality is impressive and I got them delivered to my door here in New Zealand for less than half the price of anything else here ($700:00NZ). Go to their web site fuelexhausts.co.uk and look in the gallery for pictures of my bike with them fitted (Darrin's Bird) I'm really happy with the look and sound of these mufflers, and the staff are awesome to deal with.

You can add a higher pressure fuel regulator and a 4-2-1 full system. Turbo City will adjust the pressure to your setup.

I've fitted Staintune slipons, they are quality stainless fabrication, uses same mounting points as standard. All bits are an excellant fit, sound good too, take baffles out for louder result. I also fitted their own fuel module and K & N filter, then dyno tuned. Result an extra 4 HP, more responsive throttle and a lot less weight. Gaz

Pssst, "Delkevic." Affordable and light weight. IIRC they are all manufactured in the UK and I picked my set up for a little under three C-notes USD. Mine sounds pretty much like the video, up to you if you want the DB inhibitors or not. First thing I removed when I mounted the pipes. Still much quieter than the wife's Micron system, always nice not to wake the kids or tick the neighbors at O dark hundred in the morning. ;-)

Re: Whats a good slip-on muffler?
I think the 450's prob are best choice for sound, the 350's are a bit raw but look better, having said that I have not heard the 450's in person so it's a kind of guess but that extra 100mm prob takes the edge of them and deepens the sound

Re: Whats a good slip-on muffler?
I 'll agree with Nutter...one of the nicest and light as feather dual exhaust set-up is the yoshi RS-5..if you get a pair in oval carbon is even better...!
I bought my sets from an e-bay shop called Mcexhausts ...stated in California ..do a search..

Re: Whats a good slip-on muffler?
I have the 5" Pipemaster dual pipes, they sound really nice (kind of raw) fairly loud at the higher revs. I've had several sets of these pipes on different bikes and I've always been happy with them
