who's up for a maritime/quebec/new england states bird meet?
Ain't no bird like a blackbird.
Yah! just suit up and ride accross the country and meet us on the West coast! How about Moto GP meeting of the Birds at Indy??????
is that mount rainer in the background of your picture?
Mike,
It's Diamond Head on the way up to Whistler just north of Vancouver. The 90 mles of highway is being upgraded for the 2010 Olympics and when it's done we are going to have one of the best roads to ride on in the world. 3 Lanes, divided all the way, super twisty..... a whole lot of fun. I will shoot some helmet cam in the spring and post it up. We are so lucky, come on up and ride some time.
I'll play if you stay east of Quebec! Lots of good riding in NS.
Jimbob, there you are. Much Birding lately? The best time for a West Coast meet for me is July and August unless we do weekend jaunts. The last time I rode to Toronto it took two weeks, I had to take a little detour to Jackson Hole through Yellowstone but then I got to ride up and over Bear Tooth Pass, OMG it was great. No more rides to the East coast for awhile. Down #1 in Cali is the next plan. Cheers all.
Damn. I would love to but getting out there is a bit more than I can comfortably do in a morning.I hear Cabot Trail is a pretty nice run. Maybe one day...
More beer!!
The Cabot Trail is spectacular, although I last rode it 25 years ago.
I'm in.
You see thats the nice thing about owning the fastest colour....distance doen't matter.
By the way....where is Quebec...?
Lois
Call me "Captain Mudbucket".
Lower Canada, Canada East. Lois, remember SS 9 & 10?? Ya did graduate, didn't ya? LOL
well i am going to seattle this summer... maybe we could arrange for a meet up? never been to canada do i need a passport?
Mike,
Yes you need a passport. I have a summer place in Oroville WA, My wife and kids live there for the summer so I commute back and forth on the Bird ever weekend, it's a 41/2 hour ride each way. In September we do a boys bike trip and use my place as the hub. We do day rides all over WA and could even make it into Montana. Road to Salt lakr last June for the World Super Bike, on the way home we spent one night in Missoula. Great riding in your State
Yes, as Jimbob states, you need a passport. It will make your life easier for border crossing. Last Sept, I was in on the BikerBoyz weekend, great fun. There is some excellent riding in BC. Come up and play with us. lol. I've ridden across Idahoe, Washington on a regular basis, Montana a couple of times. You'll get 20-25% on your dollar but we charge more for everything. Gas the other day, .87 Cents per litre. Cheers
How are riding to Seattle? What's your route. You might explore, www.destinationhighwayswashington.com Yes, I sorted it out and now have my two books. lol. You could wind your way up to Canada then west towards Vancouver then south again at Sumas. There are many wonderful around the way routes to Seattle from your neighbourhood. From your town I'm looking at N via 83 and 93 into BC, then take #3 west. OMG there is so much awsome riding in our neck of the woods, your neck of the woods! I would really like to have a Bird get together this July and August if possible. Cheers If you make your way West on #2 you can't go wrong.![]()
