Yes as far as we know, the law has been passed andsome 300 cars have been confiscated,havnt heard of any bikes yet

So far only in ontario (whew!)
mostly aimed at street racers and surprise surprise the BMW / Porsche people.
and a big crackdown it is.
they are targeting both groups.

I heard about this. But what do they do with it once they take it? Do they just impound it and you pay a fine? Or do they auction it off? Blows either way.

Well that otta get them stopped.

For the third and subsequent offence, your vehicle gets crushed and you go to jail.

Well, I guess they at least give you a shot to straighten up. Seems like maybe if tracks were more accessible, might help stem the prob?
