Toronto Bike Show
Anyone else going? I am here now - just got fitted for a set of custom moulded earphones. Good deal, I think: Senheiser (choice of 3 models) + custom moulds for $150. Tips for your own phones: $85. No, I am in no way affiliated with these guys, I just thought someone else may be interested.
The rest of the show is looking much improved over previous years.

Re: Toronto Bike Show
Me?...not this year. Heading to Novi, MI in the a.m. with "The Bad" and "The Ugly" to see what we can see. On the hunt for a deal on tires...but I'm not sure it's that kind of show. Btw..love my Sennhieser CX-300-II's when on the road. I imagine conformal ear plugs could only help make them better. "The Ugly" got his self a DIY kit to make conformal plugs fit to his earbuds...he likes them fine. So far the standard Sennhieser rubbers are working o.k. for me,..although I don't use the porta-tunes (Ipod Classic) all that often anymore.

Hey Shewie
I am heading down this weekend from Barrie. Just sold my Buell and most likely my Ninja is going in a couple weeks, so yesterday bought the black 97 Blackbird from HankXX, which i should have in hands withing a couple weeks or so. May be time to look at some new goodies for the BB., new helmet, leathers, ?????. PM me if you are around the show on the weekend. Would love to meet other BB owners.

Tony, if you're looking for tire deals, I just bought a set of Pilots from Pete's Superbike for $270 carry out. He has Q2s on for $215. He claims to have the lowest prices in Canada. I don't know if that's better than what you'll find in MI or not.
Brian, no man, sorry, I blew the wad and I am finished. Bought a pair of boots for me and a new lid for wifey. You got a great bike there - I would buy anything from Hank with no qualms.
I would be happy to meet up sometime this summer. I spend a lot of time in the Haliburton/Algonquin area and points east so we are likely to cross paths at some point. PM me any time.
BOT, This is not the show of years past, it is well laid out and there are lots of things to see thy are not geared to the HD crowd. Lots of deals, too.

Re: Toronto Bike Show
Shew...is this show at the Exposition?...or the classic "Off Shore Leather Extravaganza" out at the convention center near the airport? Just curious is all. The airport road convention center "Leather" show got kinda stale after about three years in a row. We always miss out on the T.O. (Expo) show for some reason...hits to close after Xmas,..the turkey has just settled and we wake up and the shows come and gone.

Re: Toronto Bike Show
No intention to go there. I already got a Bird, what more could I want?
UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the bike.
OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear.
HORSEPOWER is how fast you hit the wall.
TORQUE is how far you take the wall with you.

Some skillz, yo?
Just kidding, Bob.
Tony, this is the show that was, in past years, the leather-beaten bagger-fest that had me vowing never to return. As I said though, it is not the show of earlier years. Someone finally pulled their thumb out and got some decent vendors interested. I was quite pleasantly surprised at the lack of both A: flea market booths and B: members of the chaps patrol. Both still present but in vastly reduced numbers.
Aggressive pricing made me spend a lot of money.

I said it made me "spend a lot of money", not "take leave of my senses".

Fancy HEADPHONES. Jeez.
And a little haggling got the price down to $125, including shipping the finished product to my door.
That's a lot less than the $350 for the entry-level offering from Big Ears, by the way, and the headphones I went with are the same Sennheiser CX-300-IIs that Tony was raving about (Future Shop sells the headphones alone for $103.95). I have been wanting a custom set for a very long time as even my Etymotics become painful after an hour or so. The $150 price had people lined up. The poor guys in the booth didn't even have a chance to finish setting up and they had six people waiting for fitting...

Oh,alright,I've thought about it.If I ever ride again as much as I used to,maybe, but would probably stick to the foam jobbies for long hwy trips.
