About LinkBacksAnyone know how I can tell if my stator, or rectifier/regulator is bad? Just placed a new battery and it will not charge from the bike. Did a meter test on the battery at idle, (came up to 12.4 V), and at 5000 RPM, (did not spike at all). I need to replace one I'm sure, but need to find which is causing me the problem....

Unplug the stator connector, white connector w\3 yellow wires, under the seat cowl. Using a voltmeter, check all 3 yellow wires for continuity to ground, there should be no continuity. If you are seeing continuity to ground on any of the 3 wires, replace the stator.

Ok,am trying that now. Thanks! Now my 10 amp starter fuse is blowing after about 5 sec from staring the bike WTF!

Charging sys troubleshooting is Chapter 16 in the service manual, Honda CBR 1100XX Service Manual 1999+

I just towed it to the dealer....didnt want to take any chances on screwing it up more. I'll update the problem and fix when I get her back.
