Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Anyone had experience with replacment body kits from NiceCycle.com Sportbike Fairings Honda Yamaha Suzuki Body Kits Kawasaki Fairing? I found them on the net and am considering purchasing. They are ABS plastic from Japan (not China or Korea) in stock colors with heat shields and decals for $799.00 The website looks pretty good and I talked with them over the phone. Anybody else know anything about them? My bird needs new skin.

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Hey Fellow riders, my first time chiming in .... Ive seen the same parts on Ebay eBay Motors: CBR 1100 XX ABS fairing for Honda Blackbird CBR1100XX A (item 270262426247 end time Aug-11-08 20:12:22 PDT) but they guy on ebay was willing to sell individual parts. and if you order the whole kit you get a free windscreen. I havent compared the deals all the way through but both seem to be about the same.. Nicecycle is just geting a better rate and drop shipping from the same place i believe. Just my observation......but i might be wrong. the guy on ebey was even willing to sell me the unpainted version for the nose at a better cost.

Goin over nicecycles site, it even appears you can have them painted in different color schemes, which may be pretty cool. If no one has any experience w/them, I guess I'll experiment over the winter. I plan to do a lot of work--excuse me, have a lot of work done on her during the off season and new skin will more than likely be included.

btw-Dan, post up an intro and tell your story so you can get a proper welcome!

Well,
I guess I'll be the guinea pig for all of us then. I just put mine on order. They said 3 weeks for delivery. I'll let you know. As for price, I couldn't find anything that promised as much.

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Have just got a full body kit off nicecycle and to be honest its not fantastic but ok. The finish isnt that great and the laquer a bit soft and very easily marked so be careful when you are putting it on. I also found the fit not that great but with a bit of jiggery pokery I got it on and to be fair it looks good. Some of drill holes are not exact and had to drill a few myself but thats no big deal really. The kit was shipped from China so I think the whole japanese plastic thing they advertise is bullshit. Overall its ok though but not great. Lets see what it looks like after a few hundred miles of riding in northern English weather and then I will pass judgement and let you all know..
Hope this helps.

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Hi All,
I've just read this thread and wish I could have noticed this one a little earlier I have not bought a fairing kit from these people but I have purchased one of their double bubble dark tinted windscreens.
I have installed it on the bike and as another member has written above about their fairing yes it looks ok but is still very cheap and nastey, which has left me now looking for another windscreen. It does not have the lip around the joint that lines up with the nose cone, which in turn means that there is now from the out side a noticeable step and from the inside at night time there is a light shining through from the head light, and the double bubble is too high for my liking but that is more to do with tatse rather than quality.
To sum up I would just like to say that the product they sell does the job and is as advertised but I would not purchase from them again because the Bird is my pride and joy and quality is a top priority for me and they sell a no frills product.

Inexpensive stock parts can be found here:

Honda Motorcycle Parts, Kawasaki Motorcycle Parts - Beaver Dam WI

Just have a look on their parts list for prices. I have found that my local dealer will match prices on printed parts lists......

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Thanks again for the info. guys. Based upon reviews here and one other sites, I decided I just couldn't do it. I cancelled my order and will be looking at Beaver Dam Honda. Prices look pretty good if shipping doesn't cost too much.

Hey! Looking for fairing options, myself. There was an ebay offering outa Hong Kong...total body kit, painted and decal'd three color choices. Priced at $499. Just didn't know re: quality etc., or even if it was legit firm. Sorry forgot the name of firm. Try ebay, maybe it'll pop up!

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Ok check it out did a little research into fairing parts on ebay. My opinion is the ones on ebay from eBay Store - auctmarts: Windscreens, 2005-2006, Hot Items (auctmarts) well they look damn good there are some close ups of them on bikes and to me they look good. However it says they are revised fitment whatever that means! Another thing I suggest is practice fiberglass repair it is'nt to terribly hard and easy to learn kinda, and if damage is'nt to great try repairing urself!
Can't hurt alreasy f-ed up fairings! LOL

Yeah, damage ain't too bad really. It was just one of those "purist" thoughts..It was broken, new beats repaired. BUT, $ are hard to come by, so still mashing it all out. AND thanks.

I still haven't received a response to the email I sent NICE CYCLES. I haven't followed up with another email but they should have had plenty of time to respond by now.

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Haven't tried Nice Cycle, to be honest, completely missed it in reading thru. I tried the Beaver Dam, WI, but wasn't able to get thru the 'template', just kept getting the home page. Clicking on Honda logo...will try again, later.

Edit: Okay, clicked in on Nice Cycle...and the pcs look a lot like the Hong Kong ones...yeah, I know it's only a picture. But they do look the same (that same red -not the candy looking red of my bird), but $799 vs $499, hmm, wondering? Guess I'd actually have to see them in person.

Edit dous: Beaver Dam...got thru screens a bit better, BUT, no fairings found for "Bird", maybe it's just me and things computer. Clicking around and found tires...just replaced mine and I got 'em cheaper at my local gas station! So problee have to add in shipping to the purchase price, then ya gotta find someone to mount and balance them (unless ya got yer own equipmt.).

This will be a slow comparison process for me, before springing hard earned dollars.

On the Beaver Dam site do a search for the bird and then select COWLS.

Thank re: all. Yeah, figured shipping would be there. Biggest concern was -what if a prob? Then what? WI is a lot closer than China/Hong Kong if I hafta knock on a door! Closer to home has merits and yes ya do pay for convenience.

I'll try cowls next trip in, thanks there too.

Yes the skark Skinz are nice, if you are going to turn your bike into a drag bike I bought the upper cowl and the left and right fairings and the fairings don't have any of the OEM clips, just the 4 bolt holes and you have to drill them urself, they would require extensive fabrication to make the lower cowl bolt up. The primed ready for paint parts they say are not ready for paint, It was recommended to me that we fine wet sand them anyways and put a real coat of primer on them. If you feel like doing all the work to get them to fit, they are good quality, but again alot of work. The Upper Cowl would work with some modifications to make the headlight housing fit properly! I do not recommend these to anyone who wants a professional look!

Re: Nice Cycle Replacement Body Parts, Plastic, fairings

Hey guys, I started this thread and was just reading through some of the responses and thought I'd chime back in. As for Nice Cycles...I found them to be very responsive and while e-mail was not immediate, it was daily. I ordered and then changed my mind and cancelled the order. That cost $75.00 but I knew that when I placed the original order so I was not surprised. I don't blame them since the parts are built when ordered. I can at least say that my customer service experience was good. So you might send them another e-mail. Who knows what happened?? I can't speak for thier parts since I didn't actually try them.
As for Beaver Dam, I seem to be getting parts cheaper and faster than from my local Honda dealer. So far, I'd recommend them.
That's my 2-cents.

Shark Skinz body panels are neither designed nor intended as OEM street-use replacement pieces.
