New guy here, major charging system problems, started at about 15k with my xx. replaced 2 stators, 4 r/r's 2 batteries, and 2 days ago the wire harness caught fire. If anyone knows how to fix this problem I'm all ears. I've tried electrosport rr's (3) total - junk, the last one I used was a 02' xx regulator with the cooling fins, that lasted till the harness fried 2 days ago.

You could try this: 1999-2000 Honda CBR 1100XX FI Light Fix
Also check EVERY connector and earth point, routing of harness (compression points), stator output, etc. You can try to import a reg/rect to suit 05/07 BB - much bigger cooling fins. Either that or you can do a search for installing an R1 r/r (apparently very successful).
Do you have any electrical accessories fitted?

the only electrical addition i've made is removing the tail directionals and installing the small mini blinkers. I've noticed that people use the R1 RR's and have been successful, I might try one out, they are very cheap

40$ on ebay, I haven't bought one yet, still trying to decide if I should sell my bike or try to fix, electrical work isn't my strong point
