I have a Blackbird 04 and the problem I started with was the same as the 99-00 model in that it would just cut out.
I found all the info on the fix and was prepared to do the remedy action of resoldering the connector.
I tried to start the bike before I accessed the wiring loom but the fault had finally killed her prior to me performing the wiring loom fix.

I then proceeded to perform the fix listed for the 99-00 blackbird and resoldered the access connector. No problems, fairly obvious but all the cables on the 04 blackbird are green . I also checked all the pins of the connector and it is just a shorting link plug used here.

I am afraid the fix listed has not fixed my problem as the bike still will not start. She turns over but does not fire.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Keeping in mind the original problem of the FI light on and the bike stopping but the remedy listed against the 99-00 did not fix it.
I am still walking around.

Thanks people

Well just starting w/basics

gas, air, sprak = fire

I'm not sure I completely follow you but it sounds like spark is the issue. Got a volt meter? gotta work fomr the plugs to the battery or vice versa or some combination thereof. It appears you have some idea of what the offending part may be. I will look at this fix you speak of.

Yeah... I would start by checking the plugs.

What mileage do you have on her?
