Re: Carbon Fiber group buy?

These parts appear to be in fiberglass, not Carbon Fiber.

Re: Carbon Fiber group buy?

They do look more like a gray fiberglass than a carbon fiber dont they? I want the carbon fiber look. How was the quality on the pieces that you got CBRBear??? Did they fit without modification? Gelcoated?

Re: Carbon Fiber group buy?

OK for all the doubters out there the parts come in CARBON FIBER. There are a few different ways you can get them but the parts I got

Gage cover
Frame covers
inner fairings
ect

were all CARBON FIBER. any questions? The parts come with a gloss finish they are "gel coated" of some sort.

Re: Carbon Fiber group buy?

Have a closer look at the site, some parts are carbon or f/b or carbon/kevlar etc.Prices are available buy using xe.com-1 US $ is almost 100 yen,the complete upper in plain carbon would run around $1600 plus it has to come by ship because its too big for courier and then who knows what import fees you have to pay.All things to consider.

Re: Carbon Fiber group buy?

PARTSGUY total for carbon fiber upper fairing is 611 dollars not 1600, unless you are considering the complete upper as the upper and both left and right lowers then it is 1575. Shipping is very in expensive and fast as I have ordered NUMEROUS parts from them only issue I have had is most parts are not on the shelf waiting so it can take 2-3 or maybe more weeks for the parts to be made and then shipped. NO IMPORT FEES ARE PAID ON MOTOCYCLE PARTS. You can be mr negative all you want if you dont want the parts or simply cant afford them then by all means keep your comments to yourself. This post was simply created for those that WANT AND CAN afford the parts.

SAYODA-looks like inner fairing parts are now 485. Prices have come up but only because the american dollar is so weak. As far as a group buy goes I dont know exactly how much of a price break I can get until I know how many of what will need to be ordered.

Re: Carbon Fiber group buy?

Not married till Jan. And suprisingly I am already broke from the XX. New Corbin gunfighter and lady, bar ender helmet locks, scorpion helmet, and blue flame exhaust is the reason this time.

Although the carbon fiber upper inners would be a nice wedding gift Nutter.
