Any chance the wiring around the door is potentially dodgy and could somehow energize the security grill at night?

Hehe! Cheers for the likes guys. Makes me warm inside.
Scrappy you are most welcome to come down and teach me, master!
Shew and Gaz, the idea has crossed my mind a few times...

On a completely different note, I decided to stick some insurance on the bird and be able to take her out for a spin.
Will do a 3 month contract (40euros) soon as I change the battery for a new one and swap the wiring loom (I believe I have a leakage from the alarm..)

What is your weapon of choice..

Been a while but i used to play with a 7.62 mm (.308) competition target rifle, 28" target barrel and open target sights, Good for a grouping of 4.5" at 800 yards.

Would have dearly loved to come and play at Bisley, but alas finances did not allow.

Mainly shooting a Parker and Hale .22 target rifle now.. 5 shots into a 8mm circle at 50 metres. again open sights,.

    Thats good grouping

7.62×51 as it's more accurate than the terminator/tumbler 54 and more compatible with commercial .308's and also does less damage to rifled barrels

Yea I know about the finances .... currently using some hungarian made .22 ... purely for rabbits of course

    Found this locally...

    Large photos for classified 2014369 - Car.gr

Thinking I may go for it actually...
Load her up with a flash/bang round in the chamber ready to go, followed by a large sized beads nitro round (size 2 we call them here).

NOTHING is better in close range combat... Well maybe an AA-12...

Now THAT will rip a hole in their rompers*
(*Highschool Girl's 1950's sports trousers - not flattering).

Nah, forget that flaccid pea-shooter. You need to adopt a 'Situational Awareness' regime in your workshop. Load up a Metal Storm Unit and set to 'detect enemy' mode. Go have a fluffy latte and a salad, keep an ear open for the sound of a deranged nuke-powered buzzsaw and ensuing wall of body parts outside your house. 250,000 rounds a minute. Sorted.

    Re: Project NewBird

Yeah see it before Brother, THAT is awesome!
But tbh in close combat situations, nothing beats a combat shottie.

Now I really never was one to "enjoy" weapons, even though I do understand their "attractiveness"...
But that shottie near me, I actually consider on buying...

    Re: Project NewBird

Bike moved out of the garage, new battery stuck on, choke on, blip of throttle, hit the starter button and...

SHE LIVES! 4 months latter she started within 3 secs, on the old fuel too...

Now gonna replace that wiring loom today and get her insured and roadworthy!

    Re: Project NewBird

    You guys rock! Cheers!
Loom changed over, tested and deemed 100%.
New loom got the large r/r and all the little nicks have been taken care off.
Now just need to refit the plastics and get some insurance tomorrow and I am ready to rumble!!!!
Getting rusty though. What I thought would have been a 3 hour job max, has taken all day so far and it aint even done...
