Re: F1 Australian GP

Albert Park is normally a 40min ride from home. I worked at the 2004 GP (security in the media centre and pit lane), and although the atmosphere is incredible at the track, I just couldn't be bothered going just to be annoyed by drunks (kids and adults) and tuff guy idiots.

I will be watching from the comfort of my lounge chair with my 3yo daughter (I'm teaching her early).

Re: F1 Australian GP

Mine hates the noise, but loves "racing cars" (with thanks to Pixar). She loves Supercross even more. We will sit there and watch a race with her commentary throughout the entire race being "motorbikes jump up and fall down, jump up, fall down, up, down, up, down." Cute during qualifying, but after a 20 lap final........ When we watching MotoGP or WSBK, she keeps on telling the riders to "watch out for the muddy puddle" - when I had my off at Phillip Island I came home covered in mud and she thinks that everyone now crashes into muddy puddles.

When she was born, she came home from the hospital on the Sunday of the Gold Coast Indy. Guess what her first television experience was ???

Re: F1 Australian GP

Sweet! Yea man, we gotta get these little girls started young. I take mine for rides up & down the street, I put her between my legs & she hugs the tank, screaming "faster Daddy, faster!!!". But she climbed up on it the other day while I was cleaning it, & sat on the pillion's seat...her legs are long enough now, she can reach the pegs , guess I gotta get her some gear now & start taking her on "real" rides.

Mine just doesnt like the noise. She even covers her ears and runs inside because my bird with the stock exhaust is too loud. Just have to wait and see what the next child will be like. 6 months and counting.

Re: F1 Australian GP

Anyway, back on track, did anybody really expect a race like that (not saying much coz the race just finished live)?

Re: F1 Australian GP

Lewis Hamilton and only 7 of 21 cars finished.
Lack of traction control has shown just how complacent the drivers have become.
