Yep! I live in Ferny Grove. Why not come to the Milton Coffee Club on Friday nights? We usually have about 50 bikes there, not all Blackbirds of course. Maybe we can organize a ride then.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean people aren't out to get me!
Hey Dave i live in Cashmere.Mate if i cant get into Milton Friday night if you dont mind you could always give me a call on 0412 864 180.I'm new to road riding been probably 2 months so a real novice.Love the bike though.
No worries. I'll see you there if you can make it. If not I'll give you a call some time soon. If you do come, just walk into the middle of the crowd and yell, "Does anyone here ride a Blackbird?". You will be greeted with the usual cheers and jeers. It can get pretty full later in the night so just kick a GSXR or similar over and park there. The BB guys will look after you.
...unless the guy is really big....

much going on in September
Hi, just to put my 1100cc worth in. Newbie to forum.
Have had the bird (black 05) about 6 m / 4500k now.. Still getting the ohh yeah feeling.... Mate of mine bought a new one at about same time. (Silver , 07 plate) .
If anyone is up for early weekend rides, I'm up for it, time allowing.
Favourite lap of late has been leave home (Tingalpa) , get to the Gap, do the nebo road, then down to samford & home . 110km, 2 hrs taking it easy. Start at 6am, back for b'fast with the fam. Take some mates occasionally, otherwise do it solo, either way, good way to start the day !
Have been thinking about orgainising a ride out to the Motorcycle Meusem west of Bris. Anyone been there ?
Also, is there still a Bird group at the Milton CC ?
Hey there!!
I live in Clear Mountain, near to Samford.
Has anything evolved from this forum??
I have been working 300km north of Brizzy but finish up this weekend and would be real keen for some rides.
Hope to hear from some people soon!!
Attitude,Charisma,Mojo & Spunk. Thats what you have on a BLACK Blackbird & there the fastest.the rest of you just dream about that

OK. So now the weather is getting colder the 5:30am lap is losing its gloss (for a couple of months anyway).
I wonder if the Fri-Nite Coffee club group still meets somewhere ??
The other suggestion might be to organise a weekend day ride (via Glorious/Northbrook pathway??) out to the QLd Motorcycle Meuseum at Marburg (on the Toowoomba road not far from the Turnoff to Esk/Wivenhoe....
(There also happens to be a nice winery across the road for lunch / a brew.../
Keep meaning to do this one with some mates but just havent yet....
the road from Esk to Hampton is something special, should try it

I am at Kallangur and love riding my 'Bird as often as I am able.
Try Mt Mee to Woodford, head toward Kilcoy and turn right just out of Woodford and head toward Beerwah via Cedarton. When you reach the top of the range turn left and head to Maleny via Stanley River Road. Turn left at Maleny and head to Connondale, and then Kenilworth. From there you can keep going to Gympie via Imbil or head out to the Bruce Highway.
Top ride, good mix of roads and scenery. A favourite of mine.![]()
